أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الزُّهْرِيُّ الْبَصْرِیُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو سَمِعَ جَابِرًا يَقُولُ وَکَانَ الْعَبَّاسُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَطَلَبَتْ الْأَنْصَارُ ثَوْبًا يَکْسُونَهُ فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا قَمِيصًا يَصْلُحُ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا قَمِيصَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُبَيٍّ فَکَسَوْهُ إِيَّاهُ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 1907
It was narrated that ‘Amr heard Jabir say: “And Al-’Abbas was in Al-Madinah, and he asked the Ansar for a garment to clothe him in, but they could not find a shirt that would fit him except the shirt of ‘Abdullah bin Ubayy, so they clothed him in it.” (Sahih)
