أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَی بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يُونُسَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْحُرِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَهُمْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ قَالَ مَثْنَی مَثْنَی فَإِنْ خَشِيَ أَحَدُکُمْ الصُّبْحَ فَلْيُوتِرْ بِوَاحِدَةٍ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 1675
Ibn ‘Umar told them that a man asked the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم about prayers at night, and he said: “Two by two, then if one of you fears that dawn will come, let him pray Witr with one.” (Sahih)
