أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْحَفَرِيُّ عَنْ حَفْصٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي مُتَرَبِّعًا قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ لَا أَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا رَوَی هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ غَيْرَ أَبِي دَاوُدَ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ وَلَا أَحْسِبُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ إِلَّا خَطَأً وَاللَّهُ تَعَالَی أَعْلَمُ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 1666
It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “I saw the Prophet praying while sitting cross-legged.” (Da’if) Abu ‘Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasa’i) said: I do not know of anyone who reported this Hadith other than Abu Dawud, and he is trustworthy, and I do not consider this Hadith to be but a mistake, and Allah knows best.
