أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاکٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا أَکَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا قَالَ کَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ قَعْدَةً ثُمَّ يَقُومُ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 1579
It was narrated that Simak said: “I asked Jabir: ‘Did the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم deliver the Khu[bah standing?’ He said: ‘The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم used to deliver the Khutbah standing, then he would sit for a while, then stand up again.” (Sahih)
