حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَی بْنِ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَی قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَائٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّی الْعِيدَ قَالَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَنْصَرِفَ فَلْيَنْصَرِفْ وَمَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُقِيمَ لِلْخُطْبَةِ فَلْيُقِمْ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 1576
It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin As-Sa’ib that the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم offered the ‘Eid prayer and said: “Whoever would like to leave, let him leave, and whoever would like to stay for the Khutbah, let him stay.” (Hasan)
