أَخْبَرَنِي شُعَيْبُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ عَنْ يَحْيَی بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ کَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي شَيْئٍ مِنْ الدُّعَائِ إِلَّا فِي الِاسْتِسْقَائِ فَإِنَّهُ کَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّی يُرَی بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 1518
It was narrated that Anas said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم did not raise his hands during any supplication except when praying for rain, when he used to raise his hands so high that the whiteness of his armpits could be seen.” (Sahih)
