It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas; I bear witness that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) prayed before the khutbah on Eid, then he delivered the khutbah. And he thought that the women had not heard, so he went over to them and reminded them (of Allah) and exhorted them and enjoined them to give in charity, and the women started giving their earrings, rings and things.
