حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ فِي الْكَعْبَةِ فَسَبَّحَ وَكَبَّرَ وَدَعَا اللَّهَ وَاسْتَغْفَرَهُ وَلَمْ يَرْكَعْ وَلَمْ يَسْجُدْ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 1830
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas, from al-Fadl bin 'Abbas, that the Prophet (PBUH) stood in the Ka'bah, and he glorified Allah and magnified Him, and he called upon Allah and asked Him for forgive- ness, but he did not bow or prostrate.
