حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ مَرَّةً رَفَعَهُ ثُمَّ تَرَكَهُ رَأَى أَمِيرًا أَوْ رَجُلًا سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيمَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ أَنَّى عَلِقَهَا
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4239
It was narrated from Abu Ma’mar from 'Abdullah. He [the narrator] said: I heard him attribute it to the Prophet (PBUH) on one occasion, then he did not do that. He saw a governor or a man say two tasleems and he said: Where did he learn that?
