حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مَرَّ بِهِمْ عَلَى بَعِيرٍ يُوضِعُهُ بِمِنًى فِي أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ إِنَّهَا أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ فَسَأَلْتُ عَنْهُ فَقَالُوا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 992
It was narrated from Voosuf bin Mas'ood, from his grand-mother, that a man passed by them on a camel in Mina during the days of at-Tashreeq (saying): These are days of eating and drinking. I asked who he was and they said: 'Ali bin Abi Talib.
