حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينِ صَبْرٍ يَقْتَطِعُ بِهَا مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ وَهُوَ فِيهَا فَاجِرٌ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ قَالَ وَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللَّهِ وَأَيْمَانِهِمْ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4211
It was narrated that 'Abdullah said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Whoever swears a false oath (when the judge has ordered him to swear an oath) in order to unlawfully take the property of another Muslim, will meet Allah when He is angry with him." Then the verse was revealed: "Verily, those who purchase a small gain at the cost of Allah's Covenant and their oaths." [Al 'Imran 3:77].
