حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ صَالِحٍ عَنْ فِرَاسٍ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْحَضَرِ وَالسَّفَرِ فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ فِي الْحَضَرِ أَرْبَعًا وَبَعْدَهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَصَلَّى الْعَصْرَ أَرْبَعًا وَلَيْسَ بَعْدَهَا شَيْءٌ وَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ ثَلَاثًا وَبَعْدَهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ أَرْبَعًا وَصَلَّى فِي السَّفَرِ الظُّهْرَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَبَعْدَهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَالْعَصْرَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَلَيْسَ بَعْدَهَا شَيْءٌ وَالْمَغْرِبَ ثَلَاثًا وَبَعْدَهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَالْعِشَاءَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَبَعْدَهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5634
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: I prayed with the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) when not travelling and when travelling. When not travelling he prayed Zuhr with four rak'ahs and two rak'ahs after it, and he prayed 'Asr with four rak’ahs and nothing after it, and he prayed Maghrib with three rak'ahs and two rak'ahs after it, and he prayed 'Isha' with four rak'ahs. And when he was travelling he prayed Zuhr with two rak'ahs and two rak'ahs after it, 'Asr with bvo rak'ahs and nothing after it, and Maghrib with three rak’ahs and two rak'ahs after it, and “Isha’ with two rak'ahs and two rak’ahs after it.
