حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ زَيْدِ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ مَاتَ فَأَرَادُوا أَنْ يُخْرِجُوهُ مِنْ اللَّيْلِ لِكَثْرَةِ الزِّحَامِ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ إِنْ أَخَّرْتُمُوهُ إِلَى أَنْ تُصْبِحُوا فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ تَطْلُعُ بِقَرْنِ شَيْطَانٍ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5586
It was narrated from Hafs ibn 'Ubaydullah that 'Abd ar-Rahmaan ibn Zayd ibn al-Khattaab died, and they wanted to take him out at night (for burial) because the crowds were too great. Ibn 'Umar said: Why not delay it until morning? For I heard the Messenger of Allah say: "The sun rises at the same time as the side of the Shaytaan's head."
