حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ الصِّيَامِ فِي السَّفَرِ فَحَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ غَزَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَزْوَتَيْنِ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ وَيَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فَأَفْطَرْنَا فِيهِمَا
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 142
It was narrated from 'Umar bin al-Khattab (PBUH) that he said: We went out on two campaigns with the Messenger of Allah jfe during the month of Ramadan, the day of Badr and the conquest (of Makkah), and we broke the fast in both cases.
