مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5524

Abu'z-Zubayr narrated that he heard 'Abd ar-Rahmaan ibn Ayman ask Ibn 'Umar, when Abu z-Zubayr was listening: what do you think about a man who divorces his wife when she is menstruating? He said: Ibn 'Umar divorced his wife at the time of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and 'Umar said: O Messenger of Allah, 'Abdullah has divorced his wife when she was menstruating. The Prophet (PBUH) said: "Let him take her back," and he did not think of it as anything. So he took her back. (Tine Prophet (PBUH) said: "When she becomes pure, let him divorce her or keep her." Ibn 'Umar said: The Prophet (PBUH) recited (the verse), "O Prophet (SAW)! When you divorce women, divorce them" [at-Talaaq 65:1] at the beginning of their 'iddah.
