حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ بَكْرٍ قَالَ ذَكَرْتُ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ أَنَسًا حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَبَّى بِالْعُمْرَةِ وَالْحَجِّ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ أَنَسًا وَهِلَ أَنَسٌ وَهَلْ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا حُجَّاجًا فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا أَمَرَنَا أَنْ نَجْعَلَهَا عُمْرَةً إِلَّا مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ قَالَ فَحَدَّثْتُ أَنَسًا بِذَلِكَ فَغَضِبَ وَقَالَ لَا تَعُدُّونَا إِلَّا صِبْيَانًا
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5509
It was narrated that Bakr said: I said to 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar: Anas told me that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) entered ihram for 'Umrah and Hajj. Ibn 'Umar said: May Allah have mercy on Anas; he is mistaken. Did we go out with the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) except for the purpose of Hajj? When we got there, he instructed us to change it to 'Umrah, except those who had sacrificial animals with them. I told Anas about that and he got angry and said: You are only treating us like little boys! .
