حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ كُنْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَا وَرَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ اسْتَأْخِرَا فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ وَاحِدٍ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5501
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Dinar: I was with Ibn Umar, him and another man. then a (fourth) man came, and Ibn 'Umar said: Move back because the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "If they are three, two should not converse privately to the exclusion of one."
