حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ كَانَ مُلْتَمِسَهَا فَلْيَلْتَمِسْهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ فَإِنْ عَجَزَ أَوْ ضَعُفَ فَلَا يُغْلَبْ عَلَى السَّبْعِ الْبَوَاقِي
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5443
It was narrated from 'Uqbah ibn Hurayth: I heard Ibn Umar say: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Whoever wants to seek it, let him seek it in the last ten (nights). And if one of you feels weak or tired, that should not cause you to miss the last seven (nights)."
