حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَالْأَرْضُ جَمِيعًا قَبْضَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَالسَّمَوَاتُ مَطْوِيَّاتٌ بِيَمِينِهِ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ هَكَذَا بِيَدِهِ وَيُحَرِّكُهَا يُقْبِلُ بِهَا وَيُدْبِرُ يُمَجِّدُ الرَّبُّ نَفْسَهُ أَنَا الْجَبَّارُ أَنَا الْمُتَكَبِّرُ أَنَا الْمَلِكُ أَنَا الْعَزِيزُ أَنَا الْكَرِيمُ فَرَجَفَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمِنْبَرُ حَتَّى قُلْنَا لَيَخِرَّنَّ بِهِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5414
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) recited this verse one day on the minbar: "They made not a just estimate of Allah such as is due to Him And on the Day of Resurrection the whole of the earth will be grasped by His Hand and the heavens will be rolled up in His Right Hand. Glorified is He, and high is He abo v e all that they associate as partners with Him!" [az-Zumar 39:67]. And the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was gesturing like this with his hand, moving it back and forth "The Lord will praise Himself, (saying): 'I am the Compeller, I am the Almighty, I am the Sovereign, I am the supreme I am the most generous." And the minbar should with the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) until we thought itwould fall with him.
