حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمٌ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ مِنْ الْخُيَلَاءِ خُسِفَ بِهِ فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5340
It was narrated from az-Zuhri Saalim told me that Ibn Umar told him that the messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: “Whilst a man was letting his izaar drag out of pride, he was swallowed up by the earth, and he will remain sinking down into the earth until the Day of Resurrection."
