حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِذَا اشْتَرَيْتَ الذَّهَبَ بِالْفِضَّةِ أَوْ أَحَدَهُمَا بِالْآخَرِ فَلَا يُفَارِقْكَ وَبَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ لَبْسٌ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5237
It was narrated that Ibn Umar said: I heard the Prophet (PBUH) say: "If you buy gold for silver, or one of them for the other, you should not separate until everything is dear (i.e., the exchange is complete) between you and him.”
