حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمِ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ أَصْحَابِ الْحِجْرِ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَلَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5225
It was narrated that Ibn Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Do not enter upon these people who have been punished, the people of al-Hijr (the Rocky Tract (15:80)), unless you are weeping. If you are not weeping then do not enter upon them, lest there befall you the like of what befell them."
