حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ النَّجْرَانِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسَكْرَانَ فَضَرَبَهُ الْحَدَّ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا شَرَابُكَ فَقَالَ زَبِيبٌ وَتَمْرٌ فَقَالَ لَا تَخْلِطْهُمَا يَكْفِي كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا مِنْ صَاحِبِهِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5223
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: A drunk man was brought to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and he had him beaten as the hadd punishment. Then he said: What did you drink?" He said: (A mixture) of raisins and dates. He said: "Do not mix them; each one on its own would have been enough."
