حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَجَلِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ يَوْمَ عِيدٍ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ قَبْلَهَا وَلَا بَعْدَهَا فَذَكَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَعَلَهُ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5212
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that he went out on the day of Eid and he did not offer any prayer before or after it (the Eid prayer)' and he said that the prophet (PBUH) did that.
