حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ أَذَّنَ بِضَجَنَانَ لَيْلَةً الْعِشَاءَ ثُمَّ قَالَ فِي إِثْرِ ذَلِكَ أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ مُؤَذِّنًا يَقُولُ أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْبَارِدَةِ أَوْ الْمَطِيرَةِ فِي السَّفَرِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5151
It was narrated from Abdullah that he gave the call to prayer for 'Isha' one night in Dujnaan, and said immediately if ter that: Pray in your encampments. And he told us hat tbe Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to order the muezzin to say: pray in your encampments, if If was a cold or rainy night when travelling.
