حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ فَقَدْ عَتَقَ كُلُّهُ فَإِنْ كَانَ لِلَّذِي أَعْتَقَ نَصِيبَهُ مِنْ الْمَالِ مَا يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ فَعَلَيْهِ عِتْقُهُ كُلُّهُ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5150
It was narrated from 'Abdullah from the Prophet (PBUH): “Whoever manumits his share of aslave (should) manumit all of him if the one who manumitted his share has wealth equivalent to his price, then he has to manumit him fully."
