حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ بَكْرٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ إِنَّ أَنَسًا أَخْبَرَنَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَبَّيْكَ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَحَجٍّ قَالَ وَهِلَ أَنَسٌ خَرَجَ فَلَبَّى بِالْحَجِّ وَلَبَّيْنَا مَعَهُ فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ أَمَرَ مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ الْهَدْيُ أَنْ يَجْعَلَهَا عُمْرَةً قَالَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِأَنَسٍ فَقَالَ مَا تَعُدُّونَا إِلَّا صِبْيَانًا
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5147
It was narrated that Bakr said: I said to Ibn 'Umar: Anas told us that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “Labbayka bi 'umratin wa hajjin’' (i.e., he entered ihram for 'Umrah and Hajj). He said: Anas was mistaken; rather the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) entered ihram for Hajj and we entered ihram with him. Then when he came (to Makkah) he instructed those who did not have sacrifiicial animals with them to change it to 'Umrah. I mentioned that to Anas and he said: You are only treating us like little boys!
