حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ انْتَهَيْتُ إِلَى النَّاسِ وَقَدْ فَرَغَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ الْخُطْبَةِ فَقُلْتُ مَاذَا قَامَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالُوا نَهَى عَنْ الْمُزَفَّتِ وَالدُّبَّاءِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5092
It was narrated that Ibn Umar said: I came to the people when the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) had finished addressing them and I said: What did the Messenger of Allah say? They said: He forbade varnished jars and gourds.
