حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ وَقَّتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَلِأَهْلِ الشَّامِ الْجُحْفَةَ وَلِأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنًا قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَنُبِّئْتُ أَنَّهُ وَقَّتَ لِأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمَ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5059
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) defined the miqaat of the people of Madinah as Dhu'l- fiulayfah; that of the people of Shaam (Syria) as al-Juhfah; and that of the people of Najd as Qam. Ibn 'Umar said: And I was told that he defined the miqaat of the people of Yemen as Yalamlam.
