حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ سَمِعْتُ مُسْلِمَ بْنَ يَنَّاقٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَجُلًا يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ فَقَالَ مِمَّنْ أَنْتَ فَانْتَسَبَ لَهُ فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِى لَيْثٍ فَعَرَفَهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِأُذُنَيَّ هَاتَيْنِ يَقُولُ مَنْ جَرَّ إِزَارَهُ لَا يُرِيدُ بِذَلِكَ إِلَّا الْمَخِيلَةَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5050
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that he saw a man letting his izaar (waist wrapper) drag, and he said: Where are you from? He told him which tribe he belonged to and he was from Banu Layth, and Ibn 'Umar recognized him He said: I heard with my own two ears the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say; "Whoever lets his garment drag with no intention but pride, Allah will not look at him on the Hay of Resurrection."
