حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا تَمْنَعُوا نِسَاءَكُمْ الْمَسَاجِدَ بِاللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ سَالِمٌ أَوْ بَعْضُ بَنِيهِ وَاللَّهِ لَا نَدَعُهُنَّ يَتَّخِذْنَهُ دَغَلًا قَالَ فَلَطَمَ صَدْرَهُ وَقَالَ أُحَدِّثُكَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَقُولُ هَذَا
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5021
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar, from the Prophet ) that he said: "Do not prevent your womenfolk from going to the mosques at night." Saalim or one of his sons said: "We will not let them go out lest that lead to mischief and suspicion.” He struck him on die chest and said: I narrate to you from the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and you say this!
