It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar that the Prophet observed i'tikaaf and addressed the people and said. "When one of you stands in prayer, he is conversing with his Lord, so let one of you know what he is saying when he converses with his Lord, and do not raise your voices over one another when reciting in prayer.
