حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ لَمْ تُقْبَلْ لَهُ صَلَاةٌ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً فَإِنْ تَابَ تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ فَإِنْ عَادَ كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى أَنْ يَسْقِيَهُ مِنْ نَهَرِ الْخَبَالِ قِيلَ وَمَا نَهَرُ الْخَبَالِ قَالَ صَدِيدُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4917
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "Whoever drinks khamr in this world, his prayer will not be accepted for forty nights, but if he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. Then if he does it again, Allah will (not accept his prayer for forty nights) again, but if he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. Then if he does it again, it becomes inevitable that Allah will give him to drink from the river of al-khabaal" It was said: What is the river of al-khabaal? He said: "The pus of the people of HeU"
