حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَصْبَغُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزَّاهِرِيَّةِ عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ احْتَكَرَ طَعَامًا أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً فَقَدْ بَرِئَ مِنْ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَبَرِئَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى مِنْهُ وَأَيُّمَا أَهْلُ عَرْصَةٍ أَصْبَحَ فِيهِمْ امْرُؤٌ جَائِعٌ فَقَدْ بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُمْ ذِمَّةُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4880
It was narrated from Ibn Umar from the Prophet (PBUH) "Whoever hoards foodstuff for forty days has nothing to do with Allah, may He he exalted, and Allah, may He be exalted, has nothing to do with him. Any people among whom is a hungry person, Allah, may He be exalted, has nothing to do with them."
