مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4866
It was narrated that Yahya ibn Abd ar-Rahmaan ihn Haalib said: ‘Abdullah ibn 'Umar said; The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "The month is twenty-rune" and be clapped his hands twice, then he clapped his hands a third time and took his thumb away. 'Al ishah said: May Allah forgive Abu 'Abd ar-Rahmaan, for he must have got confused. Rather the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) stayed away from his wives for a month, then lie came down (from the loft in which he stayed during that time) at the end of twenty- nine days. They said: O Messenger of Allah, you have come down at the end of twenty-nine days! He said: "The month may be twenty-nine days."
