مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4864
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that he said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) stood over the well on the day of Badr and said: "O So and so, O So and sot have you found what your Lord promised to be true? By Allah, they could hear what I say now." Yahya said: 'Aa'ishah said: May Allah forgive Abu 'Abd ar-Rahmaan, for he must have got confused. Rather tine Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "By Allah, now they know that what I told them it is true." And Allah, may He be exalted, says: "Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear" [an-Naml 27:10] "but you, (O Prophet), cannot cause to hear those wlio are in their graves" [Faatir 35:22].
