حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَفَعَ خَيْبَرَ إِلَى أَهْلِهَا بِالشَّطْرِ فَلَمْ تَزَلْ مَعَهُمْ حَيَاةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كُلَّهَا وَحَيَاةَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَحَيَاةَ عُمَرَ حَتَّى بَعَثَنِي عُمَرُ لِأُقَاسِمَهُمْ فَسَحَرُونِي فَتَكَوَّعَتْ يَدِي فَانْتَزَعَهَا عُمَرُ مِنْهُمْ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4854
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) gave Khayhar to its people in return for halt of the Yield, and it remained with them for the rest of the life of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), and the life of Abu Bakr and 'Umar, until 'Umar sent me to share out the crops (between the Muslims and the Jews). They put a spell on me and my wrist was dislocated, so 'Umar took it (Khaybar) away from them.
