حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَتَوَضَّأُ ثَلَاثًا يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَتَوَضَّأُ مَرَّةً يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4818
It was narrated that al-Muttalib ibn ' Abdullah lbn Hantab said: Ibn 'Umar used to do wudoo' washing each part three times, and he attributed that to the Prophet (PBUH) and Ibn 'Abbaas used to do wudoo' washing each part once, and he attributed that to the Prophet (PBUH).
