حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بَنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ كَانَ مُتَحَرِّيَهَا فَلْيَتَحَرَّهَا لَيْلَةَ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ وَقَالَ تَحَرَّوْهَا لَيْلَةَ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ يَعْنِي لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4808
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Whoever wants to seek it, let him seek it on the night of the twenty-seventh'' Or he said: "Seek it on the night erf the twenty-seventh" i.e., Laylat al-Qadr.
