حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُسْأَلُ عَنْ الْمَاءِ يَكُونُ بِالْفَلَاةِ مِنْ الْأَرْضِ وَمَا يَنُوبُهُ مِنْ الدَّوَابِّ وَالسِّبَاعِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ الْمَاءُ قُلَّتَيْنِ لَمْ يُنَجِّسْهُ شَيْءٌ

Itwas narrated from 'Ubavdullah ibn ‘Abdullah ibn 'Umar, that his father 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar said: i heard the Prophet (PBUH) being asked about water in the wilderness that may be frequented by animals and carnivores. The Prophet (PBUH) said: "If the water is the amount of two qullahs (a qultah is an ea thenware bottle) it cannot become impure.”
