حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قَفَلَ مِنْ الْجُيُوشِ أَوْ السَّرَايَا أَوْ الْحَجِّ أَوْ الْعُمْرَةِ أَوْ إِذَا أَوْفَى عَلَى ثَنِيَّةٍ أَوْ فَدْفَدٍ كَبَّرَ ثَلَاثًا وَيَقُولُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ آيِبُونَ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ سَاجِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ وَهَزَمَ الْأَحْزَابَ وَحْدَهُ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4717
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: When the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) returned from a battle or expedition, or from Hajj or Urnrah, when he reached the top of a hillock or high ground, he would say takbeer three times, and say: "There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner or associate. His is the Dominion, to Him be praise, and He has power over all things. Returning, repenting, worshipping, prostrating and praising our Lord, Allah has fulfilled His promise, supported His slave and defeated the confederates alone."
