'Abdullah ton Dinaar said I heard 'Abdullah ton 'Umar (say) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) appointed Usaamah as commander over some people, and the people objected to his being in command. He said: "If you object to his being in command, you also objected to his father's being in command By Allah, he was fit to command and he was one of the dearest of people to me, and this son of his is the dearest of people to me after him."
