حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ الشِّغَارِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِنَافِعٍ مَا الشِّغَارُ قَالَ يُزَوِّجُ الرَّجُلَ ابْنَتَهُ وَيَتَزَوَّجُ ابْنَتَهُ وَيُزَوِّجُ الرَّجُلَ أُخْتَهُ وَيَتَزَوَّجُ أُخْتَهُ بِغَيْرِ صَدَاقٍ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4692
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade shighaar[1]. [The narrator] said: I said to Naafi': What is shighaar? He said: It is when a man gives his daughter in marriage to another man and marries the latter's daughter, or a man gives his sister in marriage to another man and marries the latter's sister, with no dowry given
