مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4689
'Amr ibn Shu'ayb narrated: Sulaymaan the freed slave of Maymoonah told me: I came upon Ibn "Umar when he was in al-Balaat and the people were praying in the mosque. I said: What kept you from praying with the people? He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say: "A prayer should not be offered twice in one day.”
