حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْمُزَابَنَةِ وَالْمُزَابَنَةُ الثَّمَرُ بِالتَّمْرِ كَيْلًا وَالْعِنَبُ بِالزَّبِيبِ كَيْلًا وَالْحِنْطَةُ بِالزَّرْعِ كَيْلًا
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4647
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade muzaabanah transactions. Muzaabanah is when fresh dates (on the tree) are sold for a measured amount of dry dates, grapes (on the vine) are sold for a measured amount of raisins, and fresh wheat (in the field) is sold for a measured amount of dry wheat.
