حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ أَتَى قُدَيْدًا وَاشْتَرَى هَدْيَهُ فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَقَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَنَعَ هَكَذَا
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4596
It was narrated from Naafi’ that Ibn 'Umar came to Qudayd and bought his sacrificial animal, then he circumambulated the Ka'bah and went between as-Safa and al-Marwah, and he said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) do this.
