حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَبَّقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْخَيْلَ فَأَرْسَلَ مَا ضُمِّرَ مِنْهَا مِنْ الْحَفْيَاءِ وَأَرْسَلَ مَا لَمْ يُضَمَّرْ مِنْهَا مِنْ ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4594
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) held a race for horses. He sent those that had been specially prepared [1] for that from al-Hayfa', and he sent those that had not been specially prepared from Thaniyyat al-Wadaa', to the mosque of Banu Zurayq.
