حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ هَذِهِ الْبَيْدَاءُ الَّتِي يَكْذِبُونَ فِيهَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاللَّهِ مَا أَحْرَمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا مِنْ عِنْدِ الْمَسْجِدِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4570
It was narrated that Saalim said: lbn 'Umar used to say: This is the Bayda[1] concerning which they tell a lie about the Messenger of Allah (PBUH). By Allah, the Prophet (PBUH) only entered ihraam from near the mosque (i.e., the mosque of Dhu'l-Hulayfah).
