حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ إِنَّ الْيَدَيْنِ يَسْجُدَانِ كَمَا يَسْجُدُ الْوَجْهُ فَإِذَا وَضَعَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَجْهَهُ فَلْيَضَعْ يَدَيْهِ وَإِذَا رَفَعَهُ فَلْيَرْفَعْهُمَا
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4501
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar and attributed (to the Prophet (PBUH)), who said: "The hands prostrate as the face does. When one of you puts his face on the ground, let him put his hands (on the ground) too, and when he lilts his face, let him lift them too.”
