حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا ضَرَرَ وَلَا ضِرَارَ وَلِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يَجْعَلَ خَشَبَةً فِي حَائِطِ جَارِهِ وَالطَّرِيقُ الْمِيتَاءُ سَبْعَةُ أَذْرُعٍ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 2867
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm, A man has the right to put something on his neighbour's wall, and the thoroughfare should be seven cubits (wide)."
